2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 60411 convicted of homicide

There were eight offenders convicted of homicide released on parole near Illinois zip code 60411 during 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that eight men were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for homicide, one is a veteran, and the median age is 47. The youngest parolee was a 36-year-old man sentenced in 2003, and the oldest was a 65-year-old man sentenced in 2002.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Miguel Fluker. He was convicted of homicide in 1991 when he was 21 years old. He is now 49.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
