Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60406?

There were 37 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live near Illinois zip code 60406, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Cook News.

The data shows that 34 men and three women were released in Blue Island zip code. Of the parolees, three were veterans, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2019, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Demarcus Sago. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2008, when he was 17 years old. He is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
