The data shows that the 13 released offenders living in Lansing zip code were men. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2019, and the oldest was a 66-year-old man convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Heriberto Rodriguez. He was convicted of a property crime in 2012, when he was 20 years old. He is now 28.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
