Analysis: Sauk Village pays $1.76 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Sauk Village Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 61.4 percent of the $394,576 the Sauk Village Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $1.76 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Sauk Village contributed $242,182 to the fund, which saw a $41,808 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $137,393, or 34.8 percent, in 2018. Another $15,001 came from other unspecified sources.
