Analysis: Riverdale pays $2.74 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Riverdale Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.2 percent of the $872,246 the Riverdale Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.74 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Riverdale contributed $638,264 to the fund, which saw a $6,855 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $232,270, or 26.6 percent, in 2018. Another $1,712 came from other unspecified sources.
