Analysis: Orland Park pays $2.06 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Orland FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67.4 percent of the $3,923,587 the Orland FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.06 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Orland Park contributed $2,645,820 to the fund, which saw a $241,397 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $1,282,881, or 32.7 percent, in 2018.
