Analysis: Palos Hills pays $1.97 for every $1 pensioners contribute to North Palos FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 66.5 percent of the $1,026,854 the North Palos FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $1.97 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palos Hills contributed $683,228 to the fund, which saw a $103,174 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $345,126, or 33.6 percent, in 2018.
