Analysis: Midlothian pays $1.83 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Midlothian Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 65.2 percent of the $583,381 the Midlothian Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $1.83 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Midlothian contributed $380,510 to the fund, which saw a $11,560 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $207,445, or 35.6 percent, in 2018.
