Analysis: Matteson pays $4.15 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Matteson Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.7 percent of the $1,737,560 the Matteson Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.15 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Matteson contributed $1,402,220 to the fund, which saw a $204,191 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $337,691, or 19.4 percent, in 2018.
