Analysis: Hickory Hills pays $4.85 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hickory Hills Police Pension Plan

Taxpayers contributed 82.9 percent of the $1,447,018 the Hickory Hills Police Pension Plan brought in 2018, or $4.85 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Hickory Hills contributed $1,200,000 to the fund, which saw a $188 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $247,018, or 17.1 percent, in 2018.
