Analysis: Calumet Park pays $4.51 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Calumet Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.9 percent of the $727,235 the Calumet Park Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.51 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Calumet Park contributed $595,324 to the fund, which saw a $33,637 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $131,911, or 18.1 percent, in 2018.
