Analysis: Bridgeview pays $4.72 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bridgeview Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.5 percent of the $1,702,203 the Bridgeview Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.72 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bridgeview contributed $1,405,000 to the fund, which saw a $73,403 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $297,187, or 17.5 percent, in 2018. Another $16 came from other unspecified sources.
