Village of Midlothian issued the following announcement on July 9.
The Midlothian Police Department has Special Olympics of Illinois Torch Run merchandise for sale in the police department lobby. The department has been a big supporter of Special Olympics which helps over 23,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities compete in sports throughout the year in Illinois. Last year, the Midlothian Police Department was able to raise over $25,000 for Special Olympics of Illinois. Torch Run tee shirts, Torch Run hats, and Torch Run pins are available with a donation to this great cause!
