City of Burbank City Council met Sept. 9.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER 

The meeting of September9,2020 was called to order at7-30 PM by Mayor Dan M. Foy in the Council Chambers at 6530 West 79ft Street Burbank. Il.

ROLL CALL  

Mayor Foy requested a roll call which indicated the following members present: Alderwoman Barb Gagle, Alderman Robert Contreras. Alderw-oman Sheri Gustafson, Alderman Claude Haerr, Alderman John Pacella" Alderman Mitchell Piznarski, Alderman Jason pyle. Mayor Dan M. Foy, Clerk Barry J. Szymczak and Treasurer Dean Viverito

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 

Mayor Foy then asked all to rise for the pledge of Allegiance.

JOURNAL 

Mayor Foy asked for a motion to approve the minutes of August 19,2020. The motion was made by Alderman Contreras and seconded by alderw'oman Gagle with unanimous approval by voice vote and so declared by the Chair.

CURRENT BILLS 

Mayor Foy then asked for a motion to approve the current list of bills. The motion was made by Alderman Pyle and seconded by Alderman Pacella. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays.

Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Haerr, Alderman Pacella Alderman Piznarski and Alderman [le. Clerk Srymczak had no report to file for the Council meeting.

CLERK'S REPORT 

Clerk Srymczak had no report to file for the Council meeting.

TREASURER'S REPORT 

Treasurer Viverito had no report to file for the Council meeting.

DEPT. OF BUILDING & ZONING 

Alderman Pacella made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson to adopt Ordinance # 26-9-20 authorizing a variation for a 6' privacy fence on front yard side set back for the property located at 8424 South Central Ave. Burbank, Il. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Haerr, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman pyle.

DEPT. OF BUILDING & ZONING (CONT'D.) 

Alderman Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderman Haerr to adopt Ordinance # 27-9-20 authorizing a variation to install a 6' privacy fence on front yard side set back for the property located at 7954 South Merrimac Burbank, Il. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Haerr, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderwoman Gustafson made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to adopt Ordinance # 28- 9-20 authorizing a variation to install a 6' privacy fence on front yard side set back for the property located at8259 South Laramie Burbank,Il. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Haerr, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pvle.

Alderwoman Gagle made a motion seconded by Alderman Contreras to adopt Ordinance # 2g-g-20 authorizing the Gaby's Re-subdivision for the property located at 8220 South Laramie Avenue, Burbanh lllinois. A roll call indicated 7 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Haerr, Atderman Pacella Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

COMMITEE REFORTS

No committee reports were filed for this Council meeting.

POLICE DEPT. REPORT

Chief Shore reported that recent hire Kevin Tierney is completing online training. He also reported that the 2 candidates hired in March are scheduled to attend the academy in October. Mayor Foy acknowledged the good public relations the Department extended to a l0 year old boy's visit to the Police Facility on his birthday.

FIRE DEPT. REPORT

Chief Gilgenberg had no report to file for this Council meeting.

BUILDING & ZONING REPORT

Commissioner Ricchiuto reported that in the past month, 67 new contractors were licensed with the Ciry,167 miscellaneous permits were issued, which included full remodeling projects, room additions, new garages and a demolition.

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT

Director Jim Burris had no report to file for this Council meeting.

CITIZEN'S REPORT

The Chair recognized Charles Bandusk-v 8548 South [^avergne who requested clarification of Ordinance #29-9-20. Mayor Foy explained that this is a project of a demolition and building of 6 new residential homes on the existing property,

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, the Chair asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Alderman Contreras and seconded by Alderman Piznarski with unanimous approval and so declared by the Chair. The meeting was adjourned at 7:43 P.M.
