Village of Palos Park Board of Trustees met Oct. 28.

A quorum was met for the October 28, 2020 special meeting of the Palos Park Library Board.
Present: Mary Lou Bareither, Michael Tannura, Kathy Finan, and Kathy Branigan. Also present: Kathy Branigan.
Call to Order
Mary Lou Bareither called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Public Comments
There were no public comments.
Trustee Interviews and Recommendations
The Trustees interviewed candidates for two vacancies on the Board of Library Trustees. Introductory questions for candidates were led by the President of the Board. Topics for questions included reasons for serving on the Board, previous volunteer experiences, areas of particular expertise and special qualifications, and views of the role of the library in the community. There were five candidates: Terri Kachinsky, Nancy Miller, Melissa Gierach, Gurp Ahluwalia, and Jennifer Gallagher. The Board interviewed the first three candidates with the others to be interviewed on a different date.
Adjournment
Kathy Branigan made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 pm. Mary Lou Bareither seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
