City of Burbank City Council Met January 8

City of Burbank City Council met Jan. 8.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting of January 8,2020 was called to order at 7:30 PM by Mayor Dan M. Foy in the Council Chambers at 6530 West 79th Street Burbank. Il.

ROLL CALL

Mayor Foy requested a roll call which indicated the following members present: Alderwoman Barb Gagle, Alderman Robert Contreras, Alderwoman Sheri Gustafson, Alderman John Pacella, Alderman Mitchell Piznarski, Alderman Jason Srle, Mayor Dan M. Foy, Clerk Barry J. Szymczak, Treasurer Dean Viverito and City Attorney Vince Cainkar.

PLEDGE OF' ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Foy then asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

JOURNAL

Alderman Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gagle to approve the minutes of December 18, 2019. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote and so declared by the Chair.

CURRENT BILS

Alderman Contreras then made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to approve the current list of bills. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

DEPT. OF ZONING

Alderman Robert Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson to adopt Ordinance # l-l-20 Maralisa Chavez and Edward Gutierrez 8001 South Meade Ave., Burbank, Illinois allowing a variation to install a 6' privacy fence on front yard side set back. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson. Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pvle.

DEPT. OF ADMINISTRATION

Mayor Foy tabled an introduction of Randy Cohn of McDonald's who was scheduled to make a presentation to the winner of a fund-raising competition between St. Laurence and Reavis High Schools. The presenter and recipients were not in attendance, possibly due to a scheduling conflict. The Mayor's office will be in contact with Mr. Cohn to re-schedule the presentation.

CITIZEN'S REPORT

The Chair recognized Frank Pryztula 129 Pinehurst Court who thanked the Fire Department for recent service they provide for a friend during an ambulance call.

POLICE DEPARTMENT

chief Shore indicated that the Police Department and the city Attorney are working on an amendment to the Cannabis ordinance in regards to impoundment of vehicles. Chief Shore also indicated overall crime within the city has dropped 4% within the past year.

Mayor Foy then asked any Reavis students who need their government class forms signed to approach any of the city officials at the adjournment of the council meeting. '

MoTroN To ADJOURN

There being no further business, the chair asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by

Alderwoman Gagle and seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson with unanimous voice approval and so declared by the Chair.

The meeting was adjourn ed at 7:36 p.M.
