REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS

Office of the Mayor

Mayor Casey commended the Public Works Department on how great the streets look after the snow. They have been constantly out working, they have one additional PT worker for snow plowing and luckily they have four trucks to get the job done. The Ghosien property has been sold, the closing is early March and all cars have to get moved prior to the closing, so we are already seeing the cars being moved. The Eco Clean Car Wash will be the new business on the property. There is nothing new on the church sale, gaming has opened up with the indoor dining opened by the State. There are three or four new business applications which include a hot dog place and wing place which will all include gaming so it is up to the State if they will approve them. Alderman Grochowski asked after how many inches of snow does the street parking ban go into effect. She was advised 2 inches.
