Richard Allen Standish Sr. | Wandenberg Funeral Home - Tinley Park

"Richard Allen Standish Sr., a U.S. Army Veteran with the 82nd Airborne and retired ComEd lineman who later worked as a heavy equipment operator at Local 150, passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 79. Richard, known for his passion for restoring cars, particularly Corvettes, as well as his love for boating and Harley riding, was dedicated to his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife Beth Weibel, Richard was the father of Rick Standish Jr., Tim (Michelle) Standish, and Richelle Graff. He also became the stepfather of Stephen and Brian Reilly and cherished by his grandchildren. Richard is remembered as the son of the late Russell and Rose Standish and a beloved brother to Rosann (Tom) Walsh, Russ, Robert (Cheryl), Roger (Gina), and Roy (Dawn) Standish.

Visitation for Richard Allen Standish Sr. will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Tinley Park, IL, with the Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
