Village of Alsip Committee met July 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

A. Mayor Ryan

1) Request for Chuck Geraci to participate and be reimbursed for attending a CERT Conference in Springfield, Missouri from July 15-17, 2021.

2) Elected officials and department heads should contact Becky Smith if you plan to attend the annual IML Illinois Municipal League conference taking place September 23-25, 2021 so that she may register you for this event at the Hilton Chicago.

3) The Village of Alsip will not be hosting its annual Holiday on Pulaski event this December 2021 due to COVID related reduction in donations to fund the event. The Village is considering a Fall Festival event to take place in late September 2022, featuring local bands, family friendly activities and local food vendors. A request to establish a committee will be made by the Mayor’s office soon.

4) Discussion regarding a request to hire a new property management company for the Heritage apartment complexes.

B. Clerk Harding

1) Presentation of the June 2021 IDOT Motor Fuel Tax Allotment in the amount of $64,706.56.

2) Presentation of the June 2021 FOIA Report.

3) Presentation of Minutes of the July 6, 2021 Board Meeting.

4) Presentation of the June 7, 2021 Committee of the Whole Finance Meeting Minutes.

5) Presentation of the June 14, 2021 Committee of the Whole Finance Meeting Minutes.

A. Finance and Information Technology, Trustee McLawhorn

1) List of payroll and accounts payable.

2) Review of New Hire – IT Technician.

3) Review of New Hire – Finance Associate – Replacement.

4) Review of RFP for IT Fire Suppression.

5) Review/Approval of Electric Contract Rate.

6) Review of FY22 Budget.

B. Fire, Trustee Murphy

1) Motion to approve Chief Styczynski to attend the Fire Department Instructor’s Conference in Indianapolis from August 3rd thru the 7th at an estimated cost of $1400.00. This conference has been budgeted.

2) A brief overview of the state-wide mutual-aid that was provided during the Rockton, IL fire and recent tornadoes in Naperville and Woodridge area.

C. Police and Traffic Safety, Trustee Dalzell

1) Presentation Of An Ordinance Amending Chapter 19, Traffic And Motor Vehicles By Adding Article X, Load Limits, To The Municipal Code Of The Village Of Alsip.

2) Resolution – Agreement between the Village of Alsip and Oxcart Permitting Systems to administer truck permitting software system.

3) Discussion to recall/rescind ordinance 2020-06-01 authorizing bars and other food/beverage establishments to resume outdoor seating areas.

D. Public Works and Boat Launch, Trustee Juarez

1) Request approval from the Board to purchase one new 2021 Ford F550 dump truck with snow plow and salt spreader from Bonnell Industries in an amount not to exceed $113,664.00.

2) Request approval from the Board to award contract to Whiteline Construction for the removal and replacement of approximately 320 sidewalk square in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00.

3) Request of approval to bid the Village’s annual MFT Crack Sealing Program at the July 19, 2021 Board Meeting. This project is part of the Village’s annual MFT General Maintenance Program previously approved at the July 6, 2021 Board Meeting.

4) Presentation of the Public Works Department June 2021 Monthly Activity Report.

1) Presentation of the Water Department June 2021 Monthly Activity Report.
