City of Oak Forest Veterans Commission Met Sept. 16.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

1. Pledge of allegiance

o All members present approved, no nays.

5. OLD BUSINESS:

 Painting of base of the Nike at the Oak Forest Park District. Joe contacted Tom Ceska and asked him about painting base of Nike display. Tom will take picture and render some ideas to me. Joe will contact Tom again.

 I am an American Day parade should we consider changing the name to a back to school parade. The name may have outlived it self.

 Banners honoring our Veterans need to discuss cost of banner.

 Flag box is full we need to plan a day to empty it.

 Need members to man the table at Awareness Fair October 16.

 September 11th Ceremony at City Hall campus and Raiders Football game.

6. NEW BUSINESS:

 Veterans Day Ceremony November 11th or 9th at council meeting?
