Of the 64 teams advancing to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) quarterfinals next weekend, five are from South Cook County.
In 8A, which includes schools with the largest enrollments in the state, Marist (8-3) plays at Glenview Glenbrook South (9-2).
In 7A, Mt. Carmel (8-3) plays at Brother Rice (9-2) and St. Rita (9-2) hosts Hononegah (11-0), from Rockton in suburban Rockford.
In 6A, Lemont (11-0) hosts East St. Louis Senior (9-2), which won its first two playoff games by a combined score of 110-0.
