Report: Rutland School District spent $17,828 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rutland Community Consolidated School District 230 was down 11.7 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the La Salle County school district spent $20,180 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $17,828 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 56 to 67 students over the same period.

Rutland's spending in 2019-20 was 23 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
