Report: Park Forest School District spent $16,420 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Park Forest School District 163 was up 32.8 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,368 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,420 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,977 to 1,711 students over the same period.

Park Forest's spending in 2019-20 was 13.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
