Sheriff Tom Dart, Mayor Glotz to host carjacking seminar April 7
With carjackings on the rise, it’s never been more important to stay alert and informed. Join Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart and Tinley Park Mayor Michael Glotz for a Carjacking Seminar at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Drive.
Attendees will learn how local law enforcement is addressing carjackings, the importance of vehicle tracking, carjacking trends and how to avoid becoming a victim. Knowledge is the best way to fight back! Learn more by watching the below video.
Village to create COVID-19 memorial page
If you lost a loved one to COVID-19 and would like them memorialized on a special archived page on the Village website, just send their full name and a high-resolution photo of them to marketing@tinleypark.org, and they will be included on the page. Please note that this page will memorialize Tinley Park residents only.
Sign up for CodeRED, Tinley Messenger
Sign up for the Village’s CodeRED community notification system to receive time-sensitive emergency alerts and critical information, as well as non-emergency information such as road closures and trash collection schedule changes.
Notification is customized, allowing residents to choose which alerts they’d like to sign up for and how they would prefer to receive them. Choose several different methods, including landline, cell phone, email, text message, TTY or a combination of any of the above.
For a stress-free way to sign up, just text the word TINLEY to 99411 to receive a direct link to the enrollment form on your mobile device. Alternately, you can visit the CodeRED signup page and follow the onscreen directions to create an account.
Those who are interested can also sign up for the Tinley Park Messenger, a phone-based news delivery service. Phone calls containing short summaries of top news across the village go out about every two weeks to those on the call list. If you would like to begin receiving calls, just send an email to marketing@tinleypark.org or call (708) 444-5024 and leave your name and phone number, and we’ll add you to our call list! Alternately, you can also sign up for the Tinley Park Messenger by selecting that option under "Additional Notifications" on your CodeRED account.
