“College Talk” event on April 20 to feature insight from current Lemont seniors

The road to college for Lemont High School students begins as soon as they arrive on campus. In an effort to help students and their families navigate this road, Lemont High School’s Counseling Department will host “The College Talk” at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, in the school’s Board Room. This event is intended for freshmen, sophomores and juniors and their families.

“The College Talk” will feature a panel of current seniors who will reveal everything they wish they knew about the college application process. Panelists will address a variety of topics, including preparing your résumé, deciding where to apply, getting your application in order, the personal statement and supplemental essays, student aid, scholarships, and athletic recruiting.

“The College Talk” is free for students and their families and no RSVP is required. Attendees should enter through the “Archway” entrance, which is available off of Porter Street.

For more information, please contact counselor Stephanie Bushnell (sbushnell@lhs210.net) at (630) 243-3224.
