There have been 631,622 confirmed coronavirus cases in Cook County as of June 13, with 7,045 deaths linked to the virus, according to data from the state Department of Public Health (IDPH).

Cook County (631,622 cases) and Chicago (627,853 cases) posted the highest numbers statewide. Cook County's death toll from the virus stands at 7,045, while Chicago recorded 7,417 deaths, according to the IDPH.

Illinois residents who have been tested for COVID-19 now number 0, the department reported. And the age group with the most confirmed cases was under 20, with 753,920 people in the age group testing positive for the virus.

Among all those testing positive in Illinois, 1,551,783 were male and 1,761,919 were female, the IDPH said. Male deaths linked to coronavirus numbered 18,549, while female deaths stood at 15,384.

Broken down according to race, the fatalities consisted of 21,371 whites, 6,241 African-Americans, 4,690 Hispanics, 1,045 Asians, and 586 belonging to other races or who did not provide their ethnicity before they died.
