We previously wrote about Tiffany Henyard’s bounced check to the South Suburban College for the past due commissions her company, Good Burger,” owed the college under contract.
On further review of Good Burger, we found its business registration to be “Not In Good Standing” with the Illinios Secretary of State.
Additionally, on reviewing the Good Burger company address listed with its registration, it appears to no longer be operating at that address (See EZ Food and Beverage at that location in July 2022).
South Suburban College should terminate its contract with Good Burger for failing to remain in good standing on its business registration, among other things.
This is one of the items we always consider when reviewing payments and contracts with vendors of public entities – are they authorized to conduct business in the state of Illinois?
Since there is no indication on the SOS website as to when Good Burger was label as not in good standing, we have no way of knowing if the college made any attempt at verifying this business registration prior to permitting them to continue working on campus for this upcoming semester.
