FOUR JAGUARS NAMED TO ALL-CCAC MEN'S SOCCER TEAMS

Four members of the Governors State men's soccer team were named to the All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference teams today.

Senior defender Carlos Morales and freshman goalkeeper Emigdio Tormo Lopez received first team honors while second team spots were given to sophomore forward Diego Camarena and junior midfielder Edgar Vargas.

Morales serves as a captain and earns his first all-conference honors. The native of Maracay, Venezuela, was a huge factor in the six shutouts this year but pushed the Jaguars to victory with three game winning goals on the season.

Lopez was special this season, holding a place in the top five, in multiple categories amongst goalkeepers in the CCAC. Hailing from Elche, Spain, Lopez logged six clean sheets with 51 saves against conference opponents which lands him to hold the highest save percentage amongst CCAC goalkeepers (85%).

Camarena shares the team's scoring lead with 14 points. The Gilman, Illinois native had the second most SOG for the Jaguars and was co-leader in goals (6). Camarena is a key piece in the fast-paced offense the Jaguars displayed all season.

Edgar Vargas, the local native from South Holland, Illinois stands fifth in team points (7). His savvy play earned him second team all-conference honors.

"It's nice for our players to receive recognition for the fine season they've put together," said GSU Head Coach Matt Eggert. "We have a competitive group of guys who are raising the level of play with each passing season."
