Village of Bridgeview Personnel Board met Oct. 18.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
Chairman Lewis called the special meeting of the Personnel Board to order at 6:05pm.
Roll Call indicated that Members Regep, Ahmad and Chairman Lewis were present. Absent were Members Mazarka and Gholeh. There was a quorum. Also present was Secretary to the Personnel Board, Cathy Siciliano.
Chairman Lewislooked for a motion to approve the minutes for meetings held on September 26, 2022, October 11, 2022 and October 12, 2022. Motion was made by Member Regep and seconded by Member Ahmad. Roll call vote:
AYES: Members Regep, Ahmad and Chairman Lewis.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Members Mazarka and Gholeh.
There being three ayes, no nays and two absent, the MOTION CARRIED.
Chairman Lewis looked for a motion to go into closed session for matters of personnel. Motion was made by Member Ahmad and seconded by Member Regep. Roll call vote: AYES: Members Regep, Ahmad and Chairman Lewis.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Members Mazarka and Gholeh.
There being three ayes, no nays and two absent, the MOTION CARRIED.
The Personnel Board went to closed session at 6:06pm.
The Personnel Board came back to open session at 7:00pm.
Chairman Lewis looked for a motion to approve the closed session minutes as amended from September 26, 2022, October 11, 2022 and October 12, 2022. Motion was made by Member Regep and seconded by Member Ahmad. Roll call vote:
AYES: Members Regep, Ahmad and Chairman Lewis.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Members Mazarka and Gholeh.
There being three ayes, no nays and two absent, the MOTION CARRIED.
Chairman Lewis looked for a motion to post the entry level Firefighter hiring list as discussed in closed session with asterisks for those who don’t meet current qualifications. Motion was made by Member Ahmad and seconded by Member Regep. Roll call vote:
AYES: Members Regep, Ahmad and Chairman Lewis.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Members Mazarka and Gholeh.
There being three ayes, no nays and two absent, the MOTION CARRIED.
Prior to Chairman Lewis looking for a motion to adjourn, Secretary Siciliano asked about the bill from the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association. Chairman Lewis stated that it could be done on November 1, 2022.
Chairman Lewis looked for a motion to adjourn. Motion was made by Member Regep and seconded by Member Ahmad. By voice vote, the MOTION CARRIED.
The meeting adjourned at 7:03pm.
