Saint Xavier has won eight of its last 10 games and continued the hot streak with an impressive 87-46 road win at GSU's ARC Wednesday night.

The Cougars (16-5,10-3 CCAC) leads the conference wth 16 wins this season and the 10 league wins ties three other teams (Olivet Nazarene, IU South Bend, Roosevelt) for double digit victories in CCAC play.

Governors State University (5-16, 5-8) was within 10 points trailing 38-28 at halftime before SXU blitzed the Jaguars 49-18 in the second twenty minutes to win going away with eight Cougar players scoring six or more points in the win.

For GSU, a cold-shooting night throughout (15-57 field goals, 26.3%) in the game. In the second half, the Jaguars shot a season-low 6-30 (20.%) with the Cougars hitting 22-39 field goals (56.4%) after the break.

Adam Taylor was the lone Jaguar scoring in double figures with 16 points (5-14 field goals, 1-7 threes, 5-5 FTs) in the home loss.

Amarion "Red" Osborne led the team with five assists playing 24 minutes off the bench and Tyler Clarke contributed team highs with seven rebounds and three blocked shots.

The Jaguars next play at home Wednesday, January 25 hosting Trinity International at 7 p.m.
