Retired Springfield Chief Kenny Winslow from the Illinois Association Chiefs of Police to present Detective/Sergeant John Parnitzke and Sergeant Gerard P. Wodka the Designation of Certified Eligible Award.

In Car Camera 

Replace 10-Panasonic in car cameras that are soon to be outdated with 10-Axon Cameras. Cameras are 10-months out before delivery. Industry standard cameras. Camera replacement after 5 years. State mandated by 2025, 30-plus 1, body cameras to work in conjunction with our Evidence .Com and Axon Tasers. All storage will be moved from dated servers to cloud storage. Camera replacement after 5 years.

10. Correspondence/Employee Recognition

A resident complimented Officer Ashley Vinson for escorting her to a local bank where she had business to do she was both appreciative for the Officer's kindness and professionalism.

Deputy Special Agent, Chris Watkins, from Homeland Security Investigations thanked a team of HSI Officers, which included Eric Czajkowski on their efforts in seizing one pound of fetanyl and narcotics during this HIS-led OCDETF investigation.

On Friday, April 28th, 2023, Greg Castor from the PHPD retired, after 28-years of dedicated service to the men and women and citizens of Palos Heights. While with the department, Greg served as a Truck Enforcement Officer, Officer in Charge, Range Instructor, and Task Force Officer, for both Homeland Security investigations and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. We wish Greg a happy, healthy, and prosperous retirement.
