Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Jan. 3.

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Baste, and Lewis. 

Roll Call indicated the following Trustees absent: Trustees Pticek and Struzik. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and HR Director Pannaralla. 

2024-M-01 APPROVE MINUTES OF DECEMBER 20, 2023

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of December 20, 2023. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 4 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Baste, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 2 - Trustees Pticek and Struzik. 

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-02 APPOINTMENT OF MARK TOCZEK

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the appointment of Mark Toczek as Battalion Chief for the Bridgeview Fire Department. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 4 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Baste, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 2 – Trustees Pticek and Struzik. 

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-03 ORDINANCE NO. 24-01 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve Ordinance No. 24-01; an ordinance amending Section 9-1-7, scavenger service charge, of the Municipal Code of Bridgeview. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 4- Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Baste, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 2- Trustees Pticek and Struzik. 

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-04 ADJOURN

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Higginson to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of January 3, 2024. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 4 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Baste, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 2 - Trustees Pticek and Struzik. 

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

The meeting ended at 7:05 pm.
