CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 12:00 pm, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis.
Roll Call indicated the following Trustees absent: Trustee Baste.
Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and HR Director Pannaralla.
2024-M-05 APPROVE MINUTES OF JANUARY 3, 2024
Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of January 3, 2024. Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 3- Trustees Higginson, Pinion, and Lewis.
NAYES: 0
ABSTAIN: 2- Trustees Pticek and Struzik.
ABSENT: 1- Trustee Baste.
2024-M-06 ALEXIS FIRE EQUIPMENT PROPOSAL
There being three affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the proposal from Alexis Fire Equipment to provide Bridegview Fire Department ambulance 417 Medwerks Type 1 Ambulance Remount.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis.
NAYES: 0
ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste.
There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
2024-M-07 RESOLUTION NO. 24-R-02
Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve Resolution No. 24-R-02; a resolution of the Village of Bridgeview designating the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau to market and promote tourism.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis.
NAYES: 0
ABSENT: 1- Trustee Baste.
There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
2024-M-08 RESOLUTION NO. 24-R-01
Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve Resolution 24-R-01; a resolution of the Village of Bridgeview designating the weekends of September7-8, September 14-15, and September 21-22 as Bridgeview Treasure Days for the year 2024.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis.
NAYES: 0
ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste.
There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
2024-M-09 ORDINANCE NO. 24-02
Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve Ordinance No. 24-02; an ordinance amending Chapter 8, Traffic Code, by adding Article 9, unscheduled bus stops, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Bridgeview.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis.
NAYES: 0
ABSENT: 1 – Trustee Baste.
There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
2024-M-10 BILLS PAYABLE
Motion by Trustee Struzik and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the
Bills Payable as of January 17,2024.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 5- Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis.
NAYES: 0
ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste.
There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
2024-M-11 ADJOURN
Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Lewis to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of January 17, 2024.
