Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met May 15

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 12:02 pm, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and HR Director Pannaralla.

2024-M-51 APPROVE MINUTES OF MAY 1, 2024

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of May 1, 2024. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6- Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-52 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF RUBEN MARINEZ 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve the appointment of full-time police officer Ruben Marinez. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-53 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF DANA POULSEN 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the appointment of part-time police officer Dana Poulsen. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-54 APPROVE CBA AGREEMENT 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the agreement (CBA) between the Village of Bridgeview and the Bridgeview Firefighters Alliance Local 4330 of the International Association of Firefighters. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-55 APPROVE BILLS PAYABLE 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the Bills Payable as of May 15, 2024. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-56 APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 24-08 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve Ordinance No. 24-08; an ordinance amending Section 13-3-16, Water Rates, of the Municipal Code of Bridgeview. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-57 

APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 24-09 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve Ordinance No. 24-09; an ordinance amending Section 13-4-4, Sewer Basic User Charge, of the Municipal Code of Bridgeview. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-58 ADJOURN 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Pticek to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of May 15, 2024. 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
