Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Sept. 18

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Clerk Altar at 12:02 p.m., on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. 

PLEDGE Clerk Altar led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL 

Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present:  Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. 

Also Present: Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla. 

2024-M-97 MAYOR PRO TEM 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Higginson to appoint Trustee Pticek as temporary Chairman of tonight's meeting. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-98 APPROVE MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 4, 2024

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of September 4, 2024. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 4 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

ABSTAIN: 2 – Trustees Baste and Struzik. 

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-99 DONALD POINTER RECOGNITION 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve the recognition of EMA Commander Donald Pointer for 20 years of service to the Bridgeview EMA. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-100 APPROVE BILLS PAYABLE 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the bills payable as of September 18, 2024. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-101 ADJOURN 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of September 18, 2024. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
