Orland Park, IL - Thomas R. Hawk, aged 83 and a United States Army Veteran, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Theresa, loving father of Andrew Hawk and Laura Rickerson, cherished Papa of Brooke and Cole, and dear brother of Camilla Diaz Perez and Gerald Hawk. Tom was deeply involved in the choirs of St. Louis de Montfort and St. Michael’s Church. Known for his dedication, he actively participated in the Building Officials and Code Administrators and the Midewin Prairie Alliance, advocating for the preservation of the tallgrass prairie. A seasoned traveler, Tom explored 49 states and found his greatest joy in capturing moments outdoors while hiking, paddling, and fishing.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-8 P.M. at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park. The Funeral will be on Wednesday at 10:15 A.M. from the same location to St. Michael Church for Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be private.
