A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Calumet City City Council regarding detailed information on all council members on October 15, 2024. The request was made by South Cook News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
In the request, we asked for a list of all council members with specific details including their names, titles, years appointed, term lengths (2 or 4 years), and term expiry dates. These records were requested under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140.
