Carol Ann Spain (nee Daly), aged 80, passed away at her residence in Sister Lakes, MI. Formerly of Palos Heights, IL, she was the beloved wife of Michael E. Spain for 57 years. Carol was the devoted mother of Michael (Coleen) Spain, Mary Elizabeth (Mike) Madden, and Suzanne (Craig Bewick) Spain. She was the proud grandma Gee Gee of Michael, Emmett, Brenna, Liam, Michaela, Ellie, and Gillian.

Carol was the cherished daughter of the late Jack and Mary Daly, and the adored sister of Patsy (Bob) Maiers and the late Susan (late Tom) Gorski. She was also a dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Carol had a fulfilling career as a former firefighter, paramedic, and engineer with the Palos Heights Fire Department.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8 p.m., with the funeral service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
