Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Oct. 16

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla. 

2024-M-108 APPROVE MINUTES OF OCTOBER 2, 2024

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of October 2, 2024. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

ABSTAIN: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-109 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF MARTIN FIELD

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the appointment of Martin Field to the position of part-time Bridgeview Police Officer. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-110 APPROVE BILLS  PAYABLE 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the Bills Payable as of October 16, 2024. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-111 APPROVE 2024 ROCK SALT PURCHASE 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the rock salt purchase for 2024 street snow and ice removal. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-112 ADJOURN  

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Higginson to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of October 16, 2024. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
