Orland Park, Illinois - James S. Tatera, age 78, a United States Marine Veteran, passed away on November 1, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Tatera, a loving father to Robert (Tanya), Michael (Kimberly), and the late Laura (Tom) Zdancewicz. James was a cherished grandfather to Justin, Meghan, Natalie, John, Jason, Collin, Kelly, Cory, Kyle, and William. He was the devoted son of the late John and Lottie Tatera.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Lawn Funeral Home, 7732 W. 159th St. in Orland Park. Following the service, a Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julie Billiart Church. James will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
