Orland Park, IL — Hermine C. Cannon, nee Grabenhofer, age 99, passed away, joining her late husband Thomas F. Cannon, whom she was married to for over 60 years. She was a loving daughter to the late Tobias and Hermina Grabenhofer. Hermine was a cherished mother to Cindy (Paul) Childers, Tom (Debbie) Cannon, and the late Craig (the late Debra) Cannon. She was a dear grandmother to Tommy Cannon and Kristen Cannon (fiancé Jim Snyder), and a loving great-grandmother to Madison and Hailee Snyder. Hermine was a beloved sister to the late Fred (the late Loretta) Grabenhofer and fondly remembered by her extended family.

Known as "Mom," "Nana," and "Aunt Herm," she was the pillar of strength for her family, bringing love, support, and stability to their lives. Hermine made lasting friendships, notably with her late lifelong friend Rose Pratscher (Childers). Her family finds solace in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones in the afterlife.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 3-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, IL, with an additional Visitation on Friday, November 22, 2024, at All Saints Lutheran Church, until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to All Saints Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated to honor Hermine's memory.
