Shanice Williams, MPH, CLC, and OB Program Manager at Ingalls, recently highlighted the work being done at Ingalls Maternity Care to Cook County commissioners. At the request of County Commissioner Monica Gordon, Williams spoke about raising awareness regarding Sudden Unexpected Infant Deaths in Illinois.

Williams stated: “I discussed our amazing efforts through The Healthy Baby Network in reducing sudden infant deaths with the distribution of safe sleep cots for every baby born at Ingalls. Our efforts are creating great stepping stones to improve our community.”

The initiative is supported by various donors. "Thank you to the our Grantors: The Coleman Foundation, an anonymous donor with a matching grant, and other generous donors," Williams said. These contributions help make maternal and infant health a priority in Cook County.

Williams concluded by expressing gratitude for the support received: "Your support is essential to saving lives! Thank you."
