The average reported cost of regular gas in cities within Cook County was $3.39 per gallon.
Of the 1,143 reported gas stations in cities within Cook County, 511 offer regular gas.
The average reported price of regular gas in Illinois was $3.21, compared to $3.27 the week before.
Drivers across the U.S. have faced a rollercoaster of gas prices in recent months and years. Though the cost of a gallon of gas is dropping, experts suggest they may rise to $4 before the end of 2024.
