Christian C. Crince, 87, Remembered for His Dedication to Family and Community

Christian C. Crince, 87, a U.S. Army Veteran, passed away after leading a life marked by love and service. He was the beloved husband of Betsy W., nee BaanHofman, for 64 years and a devoted father to Cheryl (Ken) Santefort and Sue Crince. Christian was a proud grandfather to Lauren (Robert) Kuthrell, Nicholas (Sarah) Santefort, Caitlin (Tyler Post) Santefort, Joshua (Breanna) Wigboldy, Madison Wigboldy, Zachary (Klarissa) Crince, and Haley Wigboldy. His cherished great-grandchildren include Jaxtyn, Myles, and Violet. He was the dear brother of the late Carol (late Raymond) Tatgenhorst and the late Gail (late Wayne) Ethridge. Christian was a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews and held a special place in the hearts of his seven brothers-in-law.

Christian found joy in softball umpiring, volunteering at Camp Manitoqua, and active participation at the Orland Park American Legion Post #111. He also served as a Deacon and Elder at Faith Christian Reformed Church, where his dedication to his faith and community left a lasting impact.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon. A live stream of the service will be available on Christian's obituary page on Colonial Chapel's website. Burial with Military Honors will be conducted privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Orland Park Christian Preschool are appreciated in honor of Christian's memory.
