Joseph Pipolo, Retired Chicago Police Officer, Passes Away at 92

Joseph Pipolo, 92, of Orland Park, IL, and a retired Chicago Police Officer, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Roslyn Pipolo for 68 years, and the loving father of Jim Pipolo, Joe Pipolo, and Joanne Belber. Joseph was the proud grandfather of Meghan Lucafo, Jimmy, Neil, Jaclyn Colella, Mary Kate, Sam, Sarah, Cole, and Luke, and the great-grandfather of Leo, Rosemary, and Liam. He was the dear brother of the late Dominick Pipolo and James Pipolo, and a fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Known for his passion for hockey, Joseph enjoyed watching his grandsons play and will continue to cheer for the Chicago Blackhawks from heaven. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Italian American Police Association, and the Retired Chicago Police Association.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, with Chapel Prayers at 8:45 a.m. at Maher Funeral Home (17101 S 71st Ave. Tinley Park, IL), proceeding to St. Alexander Church (7025 W 126th St, Palos Heights, IL) for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
