Tinley Park, January 21, 2025 - Bettie Joyce Wayne, 77, passed away on January 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Known as Bettie Boo, Mama Bear, Busy Bee, and Nosey Rosey, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, cherished by all who knew her.

Born on January 17, 1948, in Opelousas, Louisiana, Bettie was a beacon of warmth and strength. She is survived by her husband Larry; daughters Priscilla, LaTisha (Marvin), and NaTasha; grandchildren Deja, Caleb, Madison, Kelsey, Noah, and Nasir; and great-grandchildren Chris, Lauryn, and Londyn. She is also survived by her siblings Trudy, Judy, Terry, Marie, and Carolyn.

A Celebration of Bettie's life will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park, IL. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, January 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Neumann Church, 17951 Dixie Hwy, Homewood, IL. Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Bettie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
