Chicago Ridge, Illinois - Richard J. Bernier, Sr., aged 94, lovingly reunited with his late wife, Joan Bernier, passed away. He was the devoted father of Richard J. (Allison) Bernier, Jr., Jeanine (Daniel) Eble, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Bernier, Garry (Marie) Bernier, Larry (Judy) Bernier, Michele (Joseph) Alberts, and remembered as the cherished father of the late David (Carol) Bernier, and the late Alan Bernier. Richard took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to a large and loving family.

Richard's presence graced the lives of his grandchildren Greg, Dave Jr., Jenna, Kelly, Renee, Amanda, Dan, Sarah, Michael, Carter, Chase Andrew, Timothy, Daniel, Sam, Nicole, Racheal, Lauren, Alyssa, Matthew, Jack, and Joe. He was a cherished great-grandfather to Olivia, Jonathan, Elyse, Jack, Charlotte, Chloe, JD, Norah, Nolan, Zoe, Violet, Max, Hazel, Penelope, Harrison, Enzo, and Carson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge, followed by a Mass at St. Linus Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls or online.
