Maryirene Clarke, who spent 35 years teaching with the Chicago Board of Education, passed away at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of the late James T. “Jim” Clarke for 63 years and a loving mother to her children. Clarke, an alumna of several educational institutions, was described as an avid gardener, reader, and supporter of the arts. The funeral services will be held at Christ the King Church, where she was a longtime parishioner. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Christ the King School Foundation. Clarke's legacy will live on through her family, friends, and former students.
