Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Feb. 19

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: 

Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

Roll Call indicated the following Trustees absent: 

Trustee Baste. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla. 

2025-M-15 APPROVE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 5, 2025 

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of February 5, 2025. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-16 APPROVE BILLS PAYABLE 

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve the bills payable as of February 19, 2025. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2025-M-17 APPROVE HEALTH INSURANCE RENEWAL 

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the 2025 employee's health insurance renewal. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2025-M-18 APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 25-05 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve Ordinance No. 25-05; an ordinance regulating scavenger rates for the Village of Bridgeview. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2025-M-19 ADJOURN

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Pticek to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of February 19, 2025. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
