On Sunday, March 23, former Thornton Township High School standout Morez Johnson Jr.’s current collegiate team the Illinois Fighting Illini lost 84-75 against the Kentucky Wildcats in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Fiserv Forum, this was the first game against the Kentucky Wildcats during the championship.

Morez Johnson Jr.’s hometown is Riverdale and game position is forward.
